Troubled Tier 2 General

Post by Febz2008 » Thu Nov 20, 2014 9:00 pm

Hi Everyone,

I came to UK on 2008 Jan as a student, completed MBA by 2010, completed PSW by 2012 - worked in various roles and places during the time and in 2013 I found a sponsor in IT consultancy service and he issued me tier2 general work permit and worked as a contractor with another company till now. The tier2 sponsor was dodgy and was not paying taxes. He is forced to revoke the license now. I'm not interested to go for a tier 2 visa again as there are lots of issues in it. I have just 3 more years to complete Long stay (10 years) settlement and want to remain legally. Whats the best solution? can I switch to student visa and be the same status for the next 3 years? Kindly help

You cannot contract on a Tier 2 visa and even if you did, the very nature of contracting means you sort your own tax affairs, so no good blaming others for this mess.
