Hi,
I am applying my post and have the following clarification.
I am going to india on tourist visa shortly within 2 weeks and will return only after a month.
Clarification:
1. Do we need to send 1 set or 2 set of copy documents via post?
2. The online guidance says 51*51 whereas the application shows 50*50 for photo guidance. Which one should i use?
3. Believe we need to send the surrender certificate in original along with Special delivery envelope? What if there is no one to collect my surrender certificate at home? Is it ok to send special delivery envelope marked to my friends address or should i go with just first class post? or do i need to go in person and show the same and collect it back? What options do i have?
4. I am just worried whether the surrender certificate might be lost in place if they look at special delivery marked to different person name and address
Or should i come back and apply once I return from India.
Regards
Krish

One set of original forms - no need for a copy

50 x 50

HCI does not accept special delivery return envelopes for return of documents, send self addressed envelope with a first class stamp
4. I am just worried whether the surrender certificate might be lost in place if they look at special delivery marked to different person name and address

Its upto you
Tip: If by post always apply to HCI, London, its faster & safer

Hi
I might be in India for more than 2 months. During my stay in India, if i get the online status to send british passport for OCI sticker, should it be immediate or is it ok if i send it once i come back from India.
Also, I am having tourist visa now, there is nothing like getting invalid once i submit OCI.
Regards

Hello I applied by post for oci at London. I have enclosed SD envelope with the application along with original Indian passport and original naturalisation certificate 10 days ago.
I am worried about my original documents. please help me how to get originals because you are saying we should not include SD cover for return of original.
