Thank you for your recent application to RM.
Unfortunately, RM can only employ people that have the right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis. Therefore, we are unable to accept your application. You can check your eligibility to work in the UK by visiting www.workingintheuk.gov.uk

even my spouse was rejected due to lack of Permanent residency from same company .. its quite uncommon but still prevailing in the market. Even though u say about ur HSMP eligibility and its ongiong status etc.. they are definitely going to look for "Permanency" stamp on passport.UKbound wrote:I also wouldn't mention HSMP unless they ask.
If someone asks you if you have the right to live/work in the UK, I would simply answer yes.
If they ask if there are restrictions, my answer has been that it is initially limited in time, but that there are no restrictions, and it can be renewed as long as I'm productive. I have also mentioned that it doesn't require any sponsorship or support from the company.
If a company is saying they won't hire you without having permanent residency, even though HSMP leads to permanent residency, then they don't sound friendly. I'm not sure you'd really be happy there anyway.
