Got Schengen Visa, Should EU spouse still travel together

Post by atusagita » Thu Nov 27, 2014 10:14 am

Hi All,

I just recently applied schengen visa through french embassy (tlscontact) of short stay under EU family members as my husband is british. They have new rules now that on the application, the applicant EU spouse have to travel together as well. We bought the tickets and have accommodation with friends in france.

NEW RULES for Spouses and family members of UK and EU nationals as of 14/03/2014: French Consulate now requires to provide a proof of travel and accommodation for BOTH the Applicant and UK/EU national.

I have received my passport back and they granted me a visa for three months. And now we're in situation that my husband cant go to france because of personal reason. My question is that still alright to travel by myself to france? or will the immigration border let me through to enter? Please advise me. Many thanks.
