Tier 2 General application COS problem and some questions

Post by stormscale » Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:58 pm

Hello,

I'm planning to switch Tier 1 PSW Visa to Tier 2 General within UK. Here are questions I have.

Q1. I requested COS number to employer and they assigned me one. But, while I'm checking the information on COS, I've found that employer made a mistake to fill gross salary figure. I requested HR to amend this COS information but they said can't amend it as Cos had been assigned. Employer said they will write the sponsor note in COS state that they made a mistake to type gross salary figure. Also, they will provide me a letter to explain about this and to confirm gross salary figure. Employer said it would be ok to get a visa. But I'm bit worried about whether Home Office refuse application or not based on this ground. Are really sponsor note and letter enough to cover the mistake they had made on COS? Or is Home office going to refuse the application with this COS? What is the best way to deal this problem? Or am I too much worry about this?

Q2 to Q4 are regarding Tier 2 application form

Q2. M10. Gross annual salary (not including allowance)
M11. Annual Allowance( if any)

Where to include guaranteed bonus portion in M10 or in M11??

Q3. C3 do you have any passport or travel document which contains a previous grant of leave or which you used when you last travelled to the UK? Yes or No

I only have current passport, which has entry UK Visa on it, do I need to tick yes or no??

Q4. H2. Your Home Office reference number
What is this number? I do have some letter when I apply to PSW, that contains digit number only. Is that the one?

It would be grateful if you could answer these questions. Thank you.

Q1
no need to worry - if sponsor note has been added to CoS it is in the HO system. Ask for a copy
Q2
mirror the information given in the CoS
Q3
you said what the answer was
Q4
that number should do

Thank you for your anwser. This is what she answered to me.

"I’m afraid I can’t make a copy of the sponsor note as it’s on an internal system that we can’t print from. I am actually only supposed to provide you with the certificate number, I only provided the pdf for your information so I would recommend that you don’t include this with your application. You should make your application as though you haven’t seen the details I have provided within the CoS, this should be satisfactory for obtaining the visa. I can provide any relevant supporting documents that may be required."

2. still not so clear about this,

In COS ,

Gross salary in pound sterling including any allowances and guaranteed bonuses
Gross allowance and guaranteed bonuses included in the above figure

In application itself

Gross annual salary (not including allowance)
Annual allowance ( if any)

There is slightly difference, could you help me out?

Thank you.

in order to complete the application you need to ascertain what they put in the CoS, as revised by the sponsor note, about how much the salary is and how much the allowances are (if any).

In COS:
Gross salary in pound sterling including any allowances and guaranteed bonuses = S + A
Gross allowance and guaranteed bonuses included in the above figure = A

In application:
Gross annual salary (not including allowance) = S
Annual allowance ( if any) = A

Gross annual salary (not including allowance) - As stated in COS
Annual allowance ( if any) - 0

Will that be an issue ?? The conditional offer letter i got just says XXX salary and bonuses will be reviewed in year XXXX

it will not be a problem provided the salary is at least £20,500 or the min. for the job SOC code, whichever the higher

Thank you manci.
i will be extending my visa as i am currently on Tier 2 general . My salary requirement is 27000 for 40 hours (SOC 2119). I am working only 35 hours. So if i calculate accordingly , the requied salary is 23625 and i am earning now 24861.96 per annum. But the thing is
when i applied my visa in 2012 we mentioned that the gross salary including guaranteed bonus as below
Gross salary in pound sterling including any allowances and guaranteed
bonuses:
23200.00
For each: Year
Gross allowances and guaranteed bonuses included in the above figure
in pound sterling:
1200.00
Summary of all allowances and guaranteed bonuses: Travel assistance

and now it will be when i apply for visa in June 2015

Gross salary in pound sterling including any allowances and guaranteed
bonuses:
24,861.50
For each: Year
Gross allowances and guaranteed bonuses included in the above figure
in pound sterling:
Zero
Summary of all allowances and guaranteed bonuses: No.

Will this change accepted by case worker?

thanks in advance.Sorry to bother you .
