How many long is the notice period? 60 days or upon letter?

I am on a Tier 2 General Migrant Visa and was made redundant a month ago.

My concern is the time I have to find new employment. I continue to get conflicting information from the Home Office.

Is it 60 days from the last day of my employment OR is it 60 days from the date i receive my letter of curtailment ( the latter being preferred as it gives me more time to seek alternative employment.
