Can EU national stop working while EEA4 application pending?

Hi All,
I'm a EU national who is exercising Treaty Rights for 6 years as an employee. I didn't apply for EEA3, just straight away for my BC 2 months ago-still waiting for the answer. My husband has his RC since March 2010, we got married in October 2009. Today I applied for his PR using EEA4 as we have a problem with our estate agency*(they don't want to acknowledge his automatic PR). Currently I'm on unpaid holiday post maternity leave, I'm due to come back to work on the 20.12.2014. The problem is I can't afford to pay for the childcare so I'm not sure if I'm able to come back to work.
My question is :is that gonna affect my husband's application if I will become unemployed while his application will be still with the HO?
