I've just found out that I ticked the wrong column on the type of accommodation I live in. I rented from a private housing association but I ticked 'privately rented by you'. How will this affect my application? and how can I correct it? Does anyone have this experience?
Also, I'm self-employed. Are applications from self-employeds usually take longer than others?
Well..You are wrong..They do send emails. I received same today.Kaybeeaar wrote:hi. I don't think HO send any emails unless we ask something or they want to query about anything. They prefer writing to applicant rather than emails.RAKE5H wrote:Hi All,
I had a small query and was hoping this forum might be able to help me. I read in few cases that individuals received an email when the case was allocated to a Case Handler. I've not yet received any such emails even after 5 months of application. Is this email comes to everyone or just few exceptions?
Thanks,

Thanks again. Yes, I called the help desk and spoke to someone after a long wait. I was told to write to the address on the biometric letter, which I did. I checked this morning and saw that my letter has been signed by the receiving end, Thanks for your help.tinytrott wrote:I used this address which is where I sent the application originally.
Make sure you use the casework reference number. Have you spoken to the Home Office help desk? The number is 0300 123 2241

Thank you very much for your response.Ahmed Khan wrote:Thank you Faisy
The approval date mentioned on the letter is 22/11/2014 which means they work on saturday as well
It was employed and self employed both .
According to my calculations and understanding by looking at your application date you will receive your approval within 10-15 working days . Relax your approval is not too far .
Thank you
If there's an expiry you'll need to redo it. It seems as if your English is quite good, so if I were you I would book through the trinity website, you'll need the B1 certificate. I don't know why people waste time doing IELTS tests, when all you need is the A1/B1 etc tests.Still.Waiting wrote:Hello Guys,
I am about to apply for SET M and I was wondering if any of you can tell me if I would have to retake IELTS if have already applied using it for spouse visa and was successful. But since then IELTS recommended date has expired.
Do I have retake the english test for SET M or can I use the same certificate?
Many thanks!
Thanks but I have heard that If I have used my certificate previously (in my case IELTS) and if my application was successful then I dont need to retake my any english tests?king2be98 wrote:If there's an expiry you'll need to redo it.
