UK Tier 2 Termination

Dear All,

I am holding a UK Tier 2 visa (internal transfer) since Oct 2013. I be send out to join a project in China right after I joined. I only returned back to UK once last year Dec. for Xmas. Now I have decided to resign from the company. I am a Chinese, now in China. I got few questions:

1, If i resign from UK today (Dec 08,2014), I would like to go back to UK to collect my stuff in Jan 2015, to say goodbye to friends. Is the visa still accept me going back. The visa expire date is Oct 2016.
2, Is there any paper work? i.e. should I cancel the national issuance number (nino) or any termination should report to the tax office? To be a Chinese, i been asked to register in the police office within 7 days arrived, and be asked to report to the police office whenever I move to a new flat. I got a form after the registration, shall I return it to the police office as well?

Please kindly let me know if anything I should bear in mind or pay attention.

1. If you resign today, then you may be refused entry into the UK due to change of circumstances or purpose.

Seems I am in a difficult situation, I'd better back to UK first, then do the resign.
