Hi,
I have beein living and working in the UK for 10 years as an EEA family member. I am applying for permanent residence card (EEA4) and have got the CoA from the Home Office. I have got my Taiwanese passport--with the old RC expired in Nov--back from the Home Office, because I now need to travel with my husband to Dublin urgently due to family illness and then back to work in the UK.
All my other relevant documents are still with the Home Office, and therefore it seems difficult to apply for family permit at the UK visa office in Dublin (VAF5 form) especially it's close to Xmas and New Year holiday.
My questions are:
Will I be able to travel with my husband having only my passport and CoA with me and without having my marriage certificate with me? Will my husband's presence be enough to satisfy the immigration officer at the border to let me back in to the UK?
Will the airline company, say Ryanair, Cityjet or Aer Lingus, allows me to board when I check in at the airport counter? Has anyone on the forum have similar experience?
I am guessing that, even though Taiwanese passport holders are allowed to enter the UK and Ireland and stay for 3 month as tourists, it's not wise to have my passport stamped a tourist landing visa because it might affect my EEA4 application. Am I correct?
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
