Living outside the UK while having a tier 2 general visa

Is it possible for a holder of tier 2 general visa to live outside the uk for some months during the period of the validity of his visa, and while the employment is still alive?

I think it should be okay as long as you continue to remain an employee of the "UK Company" and are on their payrolls. Obviously, this has to be agreed with your company, else they are liable to report your absence to UKVI. However, if this "some" months becomes some "more" months, questions might be raised by UKVI to your company when they undergo an audit. Your company needs to be careful how they want to do this.
