PR holder needs to bring wife and child in UK

Post by The_Guy » Sun Dec 21, 2014 5:19 pm

Hi members,

I need some information, if somebody can help me out please. I'm Permanent Residence holder of UK. I want to bring my wife and child in UK. But I do not have any information, but only this , that I should have minimum income of £22,400 if I'm sponsoring a wife and a child. My wife and my child are non-EEA national.

I do have this income. But what else I have to have to bring my wife and a child into the UK, I DON'T KNOW AT ALL.

for exmple

1) Which application form needs to fill up to bring my wife and child into UK? (what is the Name of application-form)
2) Who will fill-up that application form? Me or my wife?
3) What other requirement I have to fulfil to sponsor my wife and child?
4) What will be the Name of that/those visas, what they will get from non-EEA country?
5) Do I need to attach some DNA test report as well, to show that my child is my child in real. (My child is not born yet, but my wife is pregnant, I will not apply for their visas until her delivery)

I will be very thankful of you guys. If you can guide me. it will be great help.

awaiting for replies/help.

Go through the thread, read about it and then ask specific question, with that you don't get confused.
Of course, the financial requirement is so vital that if you meet that, you should be able to meet other requirements.
On the part of your wife, all she needs is meeting English language requirement and tb certificate from some countries.

You'll fill the form online and fill the other by hand, that vaf 4a form.
Either you or wife can fill it,,but she's the applicant.
It's settlement visa or marriage visa
You don't need DNA except they ask for it.

no, I'm also non-EEA national. I got PR (EEA4). I was married before EEA national. I meant about other requirements was that do I have to show some proper house on rent with my name to UK-embassy in non-EEA country? or not.
For example, i'm living as a tenant in sharing house. And I don't feel any need to have separate house for myself or for my family. Is it necessary to have my own house on rent to show to uk-embassy to bring my family into uk?

You don't need a separate house. However, the accommodation must be adequate.

You may be able to sponsor her if she is able to pass an English language test , and you have been earning that amount for the last 6 months .
