The mother was Bulgarian but the child was born in another country and maintained that countrys citizenship. The child is now trying to apply for her Bulgarian Citizenship but keeps bumping into all obstacles.
Now They tell her that she needs to apply through a Bulg. embassy in her country but that country does not have a Bulg. embassy so where should she go/what can she do? It is impossible to believe that just becoz there is no embassy in that country that she will never be able to apply!!
As of lately the rules have changed (due to EU membership). Before it was fairly easy to make the process but now a lot of rules have changed for obvious reasons.
I doubt there are a lot of people here wanting Bulgarian papers but does anyone know how to go about this obstacle? Must you really apply through the embassy and what if you cannot? Not evey country in this world has every embassy representative so it sounds a little unfair to enforce this....
thanks in advance.
