Tier 2 (General) issue

Post by Harry438 » Fri Dec 26, 2014 3:02 pm

Hi All,

i am on a tier 2 general visa and recently i have got redundant. the query i have is, my employer have already informed the HO that my employment is terminated about 2 months ago. If am not wrong after that the HO will write a letter suggesting that i have 60 days to find a new employer which i have not received. Is there anything to worry or does it generally takes longer for HO to send a letter to me. The address and everything is correct so there's no question in missing the letter if at all they have send.

I have already found a new employer but waiting for RLMT to finish. I just wanted to be sure that when i apply for tier 2 under new employer i don't get any issues regarding the above issue.

Thanks

If your visa hasn't yet been curtailed, then it's not your fault! You can proceed with your new T2G application and request the new employer for an unrestricted CoS under the 'change of employment' category.

Hi All, I still havent received my curtailemnt letter from HO and the new sponsor I found had some issues regarding the CoS allocation but is now resolved, my query is will there be a problem in my new T2 (general)visa when i apply under new employer as its been almost 3 months that my last employment got terminated. I have read somewhere that even though HO doesn't send you a curtailment letter the leave will be restricted to 60 days and i'll have to find a new sponsor within that period and if not not then leave the country is it correct ?

TIA
