what are valid as proofs for ongoing need to come to the UK?

I am now a British citizen and my parents from India need to visit me to support me during my pregnancy. They had visited me 5-6 years back for couple of months. Their current situation is that they are retired and have their home and other children in India. I want them to apply for long term family visitor visa for 2 or 3 years.

Can someone please explain me what are valid info/docs that I can provide as proofs for ongoing need to come to the UK so that they get the long term visa? I understand that they can not stay more than 6 months in year on any long term family visitor visa.

Usually 3 or 4 previous six-month visit visas with no issues
