Hi Folks,
Bit of advice required on my wifes passport situation. She is currently on a Spouse visa (2year route), but has lost her passport. I'm aware we'll need to report it to the police and I assume she will be able to obtain a new one from the Peruvian embassy here (not being able to travel and all) and hopefully that application can be made by post as opposed to in person.
Can anyone advise if and how we can go about getting the visa replaced? and if this is necessary? What concerns me is that we would be applying for her FLR in about 10months time and I'm not 100% sure when the current visa expires. Has anyone else been through this before?
On a side note, she was due to travel to Ireland in January. Given the time required to get a replacement passport, she will now not have time to apply for the visa for Ireland in time.... does anyone know if this can be issued on arrival in these circumstances, or if the Irish embassy would accept a certified copy of her passport with the application?
thanks
