Applying for Tier 2 from Tier 2, different COS

Post by rajreddy84 » Sun Jan 04, 2015 12:12 am

Hi

I am currently on Tier 2 General due to expire end of this month, at the very end moment, just when I am about to renew my visa, I have been offered a position with another company, the job role is different from my current COS, the new company is Tier A Listed sponsor, my questions are:
1: Would the new company have to do another RLMT, considering it would have been a standard renewal if with the existing sponsor?
2: My current salary is £35,000, my new role should also be in the same range, however in the SOC, the salary for experienced professionals is shown as 28,000, while I intend to ensure I will get paid around 35k, in the event that the new company offers me lesser, would it have an impact on getting the visa due to a lower salary than previously?
3: I am hoping to apply for my ILR after 2 years of this visa (leading to a total of 5 years), would changing companies have any negative effect at all?

Thanks in advance for all your advice and support.

Kind Regards

yes, unless the job is a shortage occupation. Since the RLMT takes at least 28 days and your visa expires at the end of this month extend your current leave with a new CoS from your current sponsor

no, but make sure the job is advertised in the salary bracket you are hoping to achieve.

3: I am hoping to apply for my ILR after 2 years of this visa (leading to a total of 5 years), would changing companies have any negative effect at all?
no

Thanks in advance for all your advice and support.
