SOC Code query

Post by Harry438 » Sun Jan 04, 2015 11:39 am

Hi All,

I am currently on tier 2 general visa, I am in the process to change my employer and have gone through RLMT and other relevant formalities from my new sponsor to issue me COS. The only query i have is- i was on soc code 2132 (hardware engineer) and now can i apply under 2135 (Business analyst). the reason i had to put hardware engineer before is because at that time, it was suitable role which was matching with my salary. Now the new position that my new employer is offering matches the salary and job i,e business analyst.

If its not possible then could anyone tell me which SOC code applies.

thanks !

The employer determines the SoC from the closest match to your job description. If 'Business analyst' matches your new job description best, I don't see the problem.
