Post by baskey » Tue Nov 16, 2004 4:30 pm

Hi,

It is time for me to prepare for HSMP extension. I got lots of input frm this forum. Can any one say, how much bank balance should i minimum required to show? I have started with balance of 3K and gone down min. of 1.5 K and balance before submitting will be 5K. Is it Ok?

Should be alright. There is no set amount that you need to show. Just economic activity and employment over the last 12 months should be well documented. I personally think that much is more than sufficient.

Thanks mwazir.
I got the job after 4.5 months of initial visa. Is it necessary to show my various application/ interview letters for extension?

Refer to page 16 of the FLR document
For HSMP extensions: If you have applied for a HSMP extension, you must submit documents that demonstrate the following:

o Your economic activity and your personal earnings to date if you are employed, during your stay under the Programme;
o Evidence of the business you have established, if you are self-employed.
o If you are not economically active you will need to provide evidence to show that you have taken all reasonable steps to do so during your stay in the UK e.g. several job applications relevant to your skills and experience

Details of all the information to send with your extension application can be obtained from the Home Office website: www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk
I would include all my bank statements, pay slips, P60 if available, employment contract etc

It is not necessary seeing that you now have a job. But I guess it wont do any harm to include it in. Most important will be information on your current job.
