I'm looking at an arrangement where my salary package would include some PAYE salary and some interest-free loan. Tax would be paid on the loan as a "benefit in kind". I'm not sure what implications this would have if I needed to get an HSMP extension or if the ILR rules were changed to require a minimum salary to be proved.
Has anyone in this situation applied for their HSMP or an extension?

A loan is not salary, I don't think you would be able to count that when assessing salary for HSMP.

Unless there was a miracle, I am pretty sure U will be rejected if U include loan as part of earning, and I believe U already know about this.

I have been on this arrangement since arriving in the UK some six months ago. What I have read in a number of threads is that your original contract stating your salary/daily rate/etc will be used in these situations, which makes a lot of sense!
It would be good to get feedback from others in a similar situation who have actually applied for an extension with their particular Visa cayegory. Anyone?

Umm, no I don't already know about this and did a search before posting the question. If there's another thread, can you direct me to it please?
