Spouse Visa Granted/What to do now?

Post by evadnefelosial » Mon Jan 26, 2015 9:08 am

My spousal visa was granted just recently. Sept 2014 and my sons dependant visa was granted as well. We are now living in England after having moved here from America. It is probably a ridiculous question but i'm wondering where we go from this point? We've been living here for 6 month periods for a couple years and now we are over here officially. Our visa's don't expire for a good while but i'm wondering in the next couple years, what's next? What do we have to do to apply for an extension, ILR or whatever comes next. I'm not sure where to go from here or what I need. I've looked and not found much so any information would be helpful.

28 days before your visa expires you apply for the extension on your visa which is FLR (Further Leave to Remain). You and your child will get an additional 2.5 years providing you meet the requirements again. Ensure you keep letters addressed to you and your spouse from government agencies, banks, etc as you will need to show up to 12 spanning the 1st 2.5 years of these as proof that you continue to live together.

Once you complete the following 2.5 years you will be eligible for ILR.
