Manci thank you as always.
One point that still confuses me:
If I look at this website:
https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-priority-applications, it says very clearly that the priority service can only be used within the UK, however the VFS website link you provided above states:
Yes, there is a priority visa service. For an additional fee, UK Visas and Immigration will expedite the processing of your visa application. There are no restrictions on who can use the priority service, however, we do not normally recommend using the priority service if you have previously been refused a visa or you have a criminal conviction as we may not be able to meet the priority service deadline.
There are two priority visa services:
Non – Settlement priority service aims to process your visa within 5 working days. The fee for this service is £100 (local currency equivalent to latest consular rate of exchange) in addition to the standard visa fee. Non-settlement applications include all visit, work and study visas as well as certificates of entitlement to the right of abode and returning resident visas.
Settlement priority service aims to process your visa within 10 working days. The fee for this service is £300 (local currency equivalent) in addition to the standard visa fee. Settlement applications include all applications from partners; children and grandparents who wish to join or accompany a British Citizen or a permanent resident to live in the UK.
So assuming the VFS is right, where do I have the opportunity to opt in for this priority service since my application will be from outside the UK?
Also I am not clear which of the two categories of visa I fit in above. A T2G is technically a work visa, so I presume non-settlement for both my partner and I?
