HELP!!! UK SPOUSE VISA FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS

Post by mrsparazo » Wed Feb 04, 2015 1:29 am

Hi. First of all i want to get a help in calculating my Financial Requirement. Do i need some sort of savings or how do i calculate my financial requirements in order to get my Spouse outside UK. I just started working my 2nd job a week a ago and I've already had my first job last year. I'm paid hourly,so it seems that i will fall in Category A NON SALARIED EMPLOYMENT (in employment and working for the same employer more than six months) so i planned that after 6months or so i'll be able to pass the application for my spouse. As i said i'm working two jobs, so if i combined it my salary would be £470 per week. So, do u guys think that i will reach the minimum income threshold of £18600? And will the application be successful? Help me. I'm planning to apply him after 6 months or so. We have a wee child so i want my family together.

Many Thanks.

I'm assuming it is a female posting so if the child was born here to a British (or naturalised) mother then the requirement remains at 18,600.

You don't need any savings. Once you have been in the 2nd job for 6 months then you can apply. You're right - it would be Cat A, non salaried if both are paid hourly.

To work out the income with non salaried employment the ECO will use the following calculation:

Total gross income from employment held throughout the 6 month period, divided by 6)
multiplied by 12 = Income from non-salaried employment that can be counted towards the
financial requirement.
