Lost Pakistani Passport Containing UK Visa

Post by gohar181 » Sat Feb 07, 2015 3:40 pm

Hi All,

My wife got depended visa on 22/10/14 on the basis of my Tier 1 General Visa and arrived UK on 26/11/14.

Unfortunately, My wife’s Pakistani passport has stolen on 26th Jan 2015. The dependent visa was stamped on it. We have informed the police and got a crime reference number. My wife has applied new passport which she will receive on 11th Feb 2015.
Actually, she got visa up to my visa which is 06th April 2015. I am going for ILR and my wife will apply for further leave to remain . I am planning to apply around 5th March 2015.
My question is that:
Does she need to stamp dependent visa on her new passport before going to apply her extension?
Or she can bring photo copy of her visa with police report.

Because I am applying next month for her extension and I am going for my indefinite stay.

Could you please advise for above questions?

Regards,
Yusaf

firstly no one is going to stamp anything in any passport since she is in the UK

here they issue BRPs instead

in theory your wife should apply for TOC (transfer of conditions) on this form
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _10-14.pdf

but in practice it is impractical considering your timescales probably, I bet you can just apply with a copy of the visa and the police report and explain in the covering letter (even if you are going to peo) that since new passport was only obtained very recently you judged that applying for TOC made no sense since you were due to apply for FLR anyway. they should go for it, what choice will they have?
