Applying for indefinite leave to remian - confused

HI All
I need a small help I came to UK on 29th September 2002 and have been on same work permit since then which has been extended 3 times.
Here are the dates and number of days I have been out from UK in a year. Please let me know if I can apply for ILR.

Umm you can always apply whether you get approved or not is another issues. They would have to use discretion in your case, apply by mail and explain the absences

A few questions.

Do you have a continous stay of five years in UK i.e. all FLR applications applied when you had existing leave? Moreover when you were abroad were you paid any salary? If so do you have all the salary slips and P60's with you.

Can i apply in person or do i use a laayer for this .. coz i know i have been away for a long in 2006 please advice

In-person applications are for straight-forward applications - i.e. not you! If you attempt this and the PEO people get confused, you'll lose your £950. Best to get that personal document information thing.

Did you have FLR throughout this period?

And...what's a "laayer"?

my situation is exactly same as urs and iam absent for 404 days and on one occation i was absent for more than 3 months. well when i met some solicitors and consultants i was told that absences if properly justified will have no problem at all. well iam planning to apply for ilr in a week or two and i have passed life in uk test as well. well i f u want to share any information with me then contat me on my email cheekywas@yahoo.co.uk

For anyone to have said that this will be 'no problem' is a little optimistic. It will HOPEFULLY no problem, but it will depend on how persuasive the argument is and how nice the caseworker is. It is discretionary.
