family permit surrinder singh route enefit entitlement

Hi as a uk national which benefits am i allowed to claim whilst doing the surrinder singh route. Am i allowed to claim job seekers allowance payment in the Republic of ireland or would it affect the Family permit later on if me and my wife ( non eea) decided to apply later on thanks.
