Exemptions to WRS

Post by Hahahania » Mon Feb 09, 2015 8:12 pm

Hi everyone

I'm Polish, but have lived in the UK since I was 5 (arrived summer 1985). I've had ILR from around this period. I hope to submit a naturalisation application but I'm concerned it will fail because I didn't register under WRS. Would my ILR, and the fact that I was already working legally before the WRS came in in 2004 exempt me from having to register? And would I have had to register if I changed job in 2010?

Any guidance greatly appreciated - I'm finding the Home Office info a bit vague and confusing and I can't afford to lose the application fee.

If you had ILR before 2004 you did't have to do WRS.
