Hi .. I did come to uk on 13/09/2009 for my masters, have finished it,and currently working a s a software developer for nhs and my current salary is 23000 £p/a and I got my first Tier2 general extension from 24/01/2014 TO 14/04/ 2017 and am not sure how many years I do get for my second extension.. could you please suggest me that how many years I can extend my visa for my second Tier 2 general extension..if it is 2years then it would be from 14/4/2017 to 14/4/2019 ..that means I am 5 months short of 10 years ...is it possible to get 3 years visa for my second Tier 2 extension ie from 14/4/2017 to 14/4/2020....if so am I eligible for ILR....
Thanks in Advance..

since your first visa is for 3 years, your net extension with the same employer can be up to 3 years max.
However the leave is given according to cos , so you will need to have a 3 years cos to get the 3 years leave.

Hi..Thanks a lot for your quick reply..if my second extension is for 3 years( ie from Apr2017 to Apr2020),then Am I eligible for ILR on 10 years based route( as I did come to uk on sep 2009 for my masters)..As my current salary is 23000£ p/a and by that time It would be 28000 £ p/a for sure as I do get only 1000 pounds increment per year..so I wont be qualified for ILR based on salary threshold(35,500£ p/a)...
Thanks and Regards,
Scher.

Hi once again thanking you for your quick and valuable suggestion..I would like to inform you that my soc code was 2137 when I applied for my first extension and I have mentioned below the salary rates for soc code 2137

Salary rates: New entrant: £20,500* / Experienced: £22,000

My current salary is 23000 p/a and my salary would be 25000£p/a for my second extension for sure..and you suggested me that
make sure your salary is above the threshold of experienced worker's salary within your SOC code when u apply for extension....

Could you please suggest me that am I ok for my Tier 2 second extension...if so and If I do get again 3 years for my second extension ie from apr 2017 to apr 2020...when would be the appropriate time to apply for ILR based on 10 years route ....

Thanks and Regards,
Scher.

if the experienced threshold is 22k then u should be fine. however, i cant find any code 2137.
you can apply for 10 years ilr when u have completed 10 years here. 28 days before the arrival date to uk.
