Tier 2 general extension for same employer, RLMT required ?

Hi gurus,

My tier 2general visa expires on 30032015, as such I want to extend my visa.
My employer issued me COS in 2012 February for 3 years and at that time RLMT was not required for my COS.

Now I want to extend my visa for another 2 years with the same employer so I would please like to know if my employer has to conduct a RLMT? My designation hasn't been changed and I meet the criteria on the points based system. Please can you let me know if I can be exempted from RLMT?

In order to apply for a Tier 2 General Visa extension your sponsor will need to assign an unrestricted Certificate of Sponsorship and you will need to use it to apply for an extension. At present the sponsor does not need to conduct another Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT) prior to assigning the CoS. THIS IS IMHO

I am in same situation like ASH but in addition to that If want to apply for extension earlier than my visa expire date (18 july - 2015). can I apply let's say around march / april if I do apply for it. Will I get new extension dates from and after 18th july OR it could be anywhere between april to july ?

The extension start date will generally be around the time they approve it. If you apply in April, it will be around Apr/May start.

I have another question - when you say the employer does not have to conduct another RLMT - I just want to clarify that there was no RLMT done previously when I switched from PSW to Tier 2 general visa.

I have also read the guidelines :

Do I qualify this point - under page no 25 point 89 4th bullet point ?
