Please could anyone help.

My baby son's father is Nigerian who was working here under a false name. I haven't yet included his name on my son's birth certificate but he is pressing me to do this. The only problem is that I keep finding that he has been telling lies to me. I plan to emigrate to Portugal next year and I am afraid that if his name goes on my baby's birth certificate this will give him rights to stop us going. Also he says he is over here on an extended holiday permit but has been here for over a year. Could he be illegal now.

You are asking in the wrong forum. If you cannot find out what visa he is on and what it's expiry date is, google for a soothsayer. Better luck there than here.
