Daughter born in UK living in USA and future uk university

Post by livinginvegas » Wed Feb 25, 2015 2:20 am

Hi. I am considering emigrating back to the UK when my daughter is 18 (a few years away) so that she can attend a university in the UK, since she was born there and has UK citizenship as well as American. I heard you have to reside there at least 2 years or more otherwise she will pay international fees Is that correct?

I believe it is 3 years. You can be resident in any EU country, not necessarily the UK.

The children of an Austrian flatmate of mine had to pay full overseas fees in the UK because he was not habitually resident in the EU for three years.
