Hello all:
How are you? Hope everybody's fine. I am in dire need of help and guidance, so maybe you guys can help me out.
I came to London to study a Masters Degree with a Student Visa. I fell in love and after 1 year of being together, we got married. This is where things get complicated. Since I was already living in the UK, I applied for a Residence Card using form CR4.
She is a Croatian National with Blue card, meaning she doesn't need authorization for work and can exercise her treaty right as an EU national. She is also recently started a full-time job. My student visa expired on Jan. 30th and get got married the 28th of January. We sent the application around the 12th of February. In the application we sent:
- Blue card.
-Passports.
- Marriage Certificate.
- Contract of her job.
7 Days later, I received a letter which is NOT a Certificate of Application (It doesn't say its a certificate of application, nor it says if I can work or not while awaiting Residence Card). She completed a month at her job and she got an offer for a better job. She just switched jobs and will start Monday. She has an original copy of her new contract. My questions are:
- This letter does not say Certificate of application nor it says if I can work or not, this isn't the CoA, right? The CoA would NEED to say if you can or cannot work, correct?
- Can I work full-time? If not, Can i work part-time (since my student visa that I had let me work part time 20 hours a week) (I have NI number in case you are wondering)
- Do we need to notify/inform she switched jobs? I mean, technically they can verify it with her national insurance number? Or do we need to also send this new contract?
- Since she is a Blue Card holder, does we actually need to send the new contract? Isnt her being a Blue Card holder enough to prove she has the tools to exercise her treaty rights?
- Lastly, What if my wife needs her passport or blue card certificate? If i request the documents back, do they in any case affect my application?
Thank you for your time and answers, you guys would really help me a lot since there is not a lot of information regarding switching jobs, pending or real Certificate of Applications or information regarding croatians or CR4 forms. Thanks!
