I just got a letter saying the photos what I sent were not good enough. So they ask new photos
Did you take them in booth? Usually booth ones aren't accepted.
We once applied for French visa and they refused the photos taken in booth.
Nope. It was taken by my husband and they said it was too light. Now I went to the booth and already posted them back.

Ah ok.
Good luck. That's why I like passport application, no matter how much you mess up, if you are entitled to one, they can't refuse your application

The interesting thing is I used this photo for naturalisation and visa application too and there was no problem with them
Anyway our passport applications are always delayed eg. More documents, another person to countersign, now new these pictures asked

Where did you have your appointment?
Did you get an SMS for passport printing too?
We had ours at Victoria on the 4th but nothing yet so wondering

Good luck everyone and thanks for sharing your experience
(I know its only process time but I'm also adding the reason why I'm still waiting and the letter I received from HM Passport office)
I received a letter on 25/2 dated 23rd that they tried to contact me on the number I provided and I need to call them back asap. In my application I wrote down my full name and in Section 8 I mentioned that I don't want my middle name to be added to the passport (as explained in the guide book) and at the PO C&S the person that was checking my application told me that if I don't my middle name to be added I don't need to write it down and she scribbled it.
So when I called the HM Passport office the person on the phone told me that the name on the passport need to be the same as the naturalization certificate. I told him that in the guidebook it says that I can ask to not include my middle name (which is not my middle name - not even a name, only two letters - and I tried in every application I applied to get rid of but with no luck) , he repeated the same thing that my name needs to match the one on the certificate. So I said it's not a big deal but worth the try. The person on the phone said that it's fine now and they'll continue processing the application. The person on the phone was really helpful and he spoke in a nice calm way.

Application Timeline (2 of 2 applications)

Method of application: Check & Send
Date of application: 7 Mar 2015 ***
Date application received by IPS:

Date of Passport Appointment:
Date of Passport Receipt:
*** Note: Application rejected by PO clerk as countersignatory's date on photo didn't match date used by countersignatory (witness) on the form itself.
Check & Send fee includes multiple submissions of same application (within 1 month) so now need to resubmit a corrected form with matching dates

Hi All,
Below are the timelines for my British Passport Application:
Passport for: Adult
Application Type: New (Naturalised Citizen - 17/02/2015)
Method of application: Check & Send
Date of application:23/02/2015
Date application received by IPS: 25/02/2015
Date of return of documents: 02/03/2015
Date of receipt of interview letter:03/03/2015 (Dated on 27/02/2015)
Date of Passport Appointment:05/03/2015 (HM Passport Office - Reading)
Date of Passport Receipt: 07/03/2015 (Delivered via normal post)
Just to let you all know that my passport was delivered thru the letter box whilst no one was there at home. Surprisingly it wasnt a signed for delivery. Very strange, considering the importance a passport is meant to hold it was just slipped in thru my letter box.

It is common for DX to just push the passport through mail slot. They'll only get a signature if the area is known to be problem area.

I don't know why it's taking ages to get my passport processed
I still haven't received it
I see lot of people are getting passport 48hrs after interview and it's a week since I had my interview so I decided to stop calling them I also called Dx secured mail and they don't Have anything on my name with them
Updates:I booked the interview when I received the letter and the guy I spoke to took ages to get it done and later apologised that it's was his first day at his new job so when I got to interview they couldn't find my name on the system booked for that day though the interview was conducted in a manual way everything was written down and my photograph was taken could this be the cause of the delay and I was assured that it will be processed same way that I shouldn't worry
Now am worried as as I see people getting it within 2days
I can just wait to get over all this
Any suggestions is welcome pls!!
