Annual CoS Renewal. Help!

Dear All,

Its that time of the year and company received an SMS indicating to renew the annual CoS allocation. I currently have a valid Tier 2 visa until 2017. The manager has asked me what to do i.e. whether to renew or not.

My query is, should my company Renew the CoS? If not what will happen when my current visa runs out? Should the request a CoS in 2017 when my current visa runs out? What should the company do to not renew the CoS allocation? Should they inform UKVI about non renewal?

Or Should they renew the CoS allocation to keep my visa status alive and also for the future?

if they need to hire/sponsor someone between Apr2015-Ap2016, they should request an increase in annual allocation.
Otherwise, they do not need to do anything for you to remain sponsored.
If you visa is expiring before 5 April 2017, they will need to request for increase in allocation in Jan 2016 for the allowance of April 2016-17.
If you visa is expiring after 5 April 2017, they will need to request for increase in allocation in Jan 2017 for the allowance of April 2017-18.
