My name is Matthew and I'm currently conducting a research investigation as part of my third year dissertation at the University of Sheffield. I am looking into the content and relevance of the Life in the UK Test, particularly after recent media coverage surrounding how certain aspects and questions of the test may be considered irrelevant, particularly in the context for people seeking permanent residency/naturalization.
As part of my research, I would like to interview between 5-10 individuals who have completed the Life in the UK Test, whether to gain permanent residency or British citizenship. I have spent a fair while now looking for suitable participants but many have been unwilling to take part or moved to Britain prior to the introduction of the test. The interview would be relatively short (approx. 10-15 questions that allow for the interviewee to be open in their responses) and participants can choose to remain completely anonymous in all aspects of the investigation. I am simply trying to investigate people's experiences of taking the Life in the UK Test and their personal opinions surrounding its content and relevance. I am willing to travel to most parts of the UK to conduct the interviews
If anybody here is interested in taking part, I would be immensely grateful. If you are interested, please reply to this post or email me at m.khineshort@gmail.com (apologies if email addresses are not allowed to be posted!). Also, sorry if this post is not in the correct sub-forum, I was unsure where best to post it!
Thank you and best wishes!
Matthew
EDIT: I received a PM from somebody but am unable to access or read PMs due to this being a new account I believe! If that person would like to email me or reply to this post, it would be appreciated, thank you!
