switch (dec 2011) tier 2 ict to tier 2 general 2015

Hi
I came to uk on dec2011 in tier 2 ict visa.is it possible to switch to tier 2 general.
How many years we will get visa? :?:
will the year counted to get pr from 2011 to till date tier 2 general visa date.?Trying to get cos.which umbrella company is best to get cos?

Your 5 year clock to ILR would start when you had the T2 General.

Umbrella companies CANNOT sponsor Tier 2 workers.

Also, you cannot switch to T2 General from within UK. You will have to apply for T2 Gen from your home country and you will most likely be subject to 12 month cool-off period.

Totally true. This visa was issued AFTER April 6, 2011, therefore the cooling off period applies. Sorry, I was thinking it was issued between April 6 2010 - 2011... silly me!
