enrol biometric inforamtion for my baby

I’m preparing my baby's UK visa. My baby was born in liverpool.
I'm writing to tell you the problem I met when we were helping our baby to enrol his biometric information. Hope you can help me or give me some advice.
The post office asked my ID card for enrol my baby's biometric information. But my passport has been delivered as a supporting document with my baby's to the Home office. (The post office needs any one of my passport, driver licence, nationality card or my biometric information)
I have no driving licence.
The letter I got from UK Border Agency (when I applied visa in Berlin) was only a notification that my passport has been sent to UK. It was not my biometric information.
So, could you tell me what to do next? Is possible to ask my biometric information from Home Office or anywhere.
This is really exhausting, I have no idea now.
It is a logic wrong in application process, Home Office needs baby's dad's passport, Post Office also needs baby's dad's passport. I have only one passport, OK?
