Are you saying that if the applicant is Muslim then that alone justifies further checks of 'war crimes'?britishenglish wrote:Yes I wrote to home office, leader of the opposition Ed milliband, and shadows home sectary. Just now I have received a email from the MP I whish to post in the form who were waiting for long like me would be helpful for them as well.
Thank you for your e-mail to Mr Blomfield.
Please see below the response we have received from the Home Office regarding your application for naturalisation.
‘Thank you for your telephone enquiry on behalf of Mr xxx about his application for naturalisation as a British citizen.
Naturalisation is not an automatic process and we have to make a number of enquiries before we can reach a decision on whether to grant citizenship. One of the requirements for naturalisation, set out in the nationality law, concerns good character. Character is not defined and a fairly broad view has to be taken when judging whether this requirement has been satisfied.
There will be further delays in making a decision on Mr xxxxxx application as further investigation into his background is required. We are investigating Mr xxxxxx for possible war crimes involvement, which, if sufficient evidence is discovered, would make him undesirable to acquire British nationality.’
We are unable to provide a timescale in which the investigations will conclude.
I am sorry not to be able to provide a more positive response at this time.
Yours sincerely
The above email is I received this afternoon.
Best wishes

this call equality in uk as the advocates of equality what they will say about this do anybody can imagine that they can write back a eea citizen from Norway saying about war crime investigation but if there is Muslim applicant then war crime investigation is justified and can be part of process.
I'm still waiting for it Tuliptulip11 wrote:Good morning everyone
I have a question for those who applied in the first week of March that did you all get your ack letter or still some waiting for it ?
I am sure you will receive it in few days . If you see last posts including mine so mostly ack letters dated on 10th but received after few days or even a week. So dont worry . Main thing is that they have deducted your fees so that shows that they have received your application. Best of luck .Tangie wrote:I'm still waiting for it Tuliptulip11 wrote:Good morning everyone

My money got deducted on the 11/03/15 and I've not yet received any kind of acknowledgement. Have everyone else received theirs yet
If your money went through on 16th, you most likely get an ack next week. That said, money debited is good as is without the letter as letter merely confirms they have your application (you already know this), and your payment has already gone through (again you already know this)Tangie wrote:chick414 wrote:Hi everyone,

Same here Chick,
Money taken out of my account and no letter of acknowledgement yet from home office. I send in my application on the 5-3-15. Home office received it on the 6-3-15. Transaction took place on the 16-3-15.
How to hear soon from home office.
I will try not to. It's hard work waiting and am just starting.fqvision wrote:Fatty wrote:Eligibility criteria: over 5 years serving in HM Forces

Am a bit nervous as I had a court issue 3 points and £60 fine due to not being able to pay a speeding conditional offer because I was away with the army. I did my own subject access request anyway with acpo and found this was not on my criminal record anyway.
don't worry,
Especially when your consider the beloved 2nd class postage that is used in the comms from the HO.rakeysh.patel wrote:If your money went through on 16th, you most likely get an ack next week.
