Applying for father and mother as dependent

Post by ilruk84 » Tue Mar 24, 2015 11:31 am

Hello everyone,

My father age is 61 and my mother age is 57 and we want to apply for them as dependent. We are three brothers and sister and we all live in UK. I recently got ILR, my elder brother is British national and my sister has applied for TIER1 Ent. visa, we want to apply for our parents as dependent visa, is it possible to apply for them as dependent? They don't have anyone back home who can take care for them and we want them to be with us. They have 5 years visitor visa and they have been here quite few time. Is its possible to apply for them what documents will be required?

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Many thanks

Have you searched the board?

This comes up a lot and the answer is always the same - impossible.

Impossible...unless they both need 24 hour care and require help with daily tasks, such as dressing, bathing etc. Also if they do need this care it should either not be available in their home country or unaffordable for you and/or your siblings to pay for the support in their home country. From your post, they fail to qualify. As Wanderer has said, search the forum for more information of how the rules have tightened.
