Form AN - Application form questions

Post by beatallica » Tue Mar 24, 2015 10:57 am

Hi all, I am submitting application via NCS soon and had a few questions. Appreciate any replies ! thanks

1.1 What is home office reference number?

1.22 For english language, I have a Master's degree taught in UK so I guess I need to tick the below (which is same degree I used for ILR) - but do I need to attach any additional documents? (ii) the qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country (other than Canada)

1.27 My mother has passed away - do I need to put "deceased" after her name or inform them in any way?

2.1 I came here to study originally. Would that be "first arrival" or time of starting the relevant period for ILR?

3.5 How can I find "Address of tax office"?

Supporting Docs / Section 3 - they say "Passports OR letter from exployers etc...". I guess if I provide my passport that should be enough right?

Supporting Docs / Section 5 - I am guessing ILR biometric card + passport is enough for this?

References - As far as I can understand, my referees ONLY need to fill out the form and NOT provide any supporting documents - is that correct? I guess they will do some background checks but nothing else required from them right?

Lastly, just to be sure, as I am applying through NCS they will not keep any of my originals and I can travel out of the UK while my application is under consideration right?

Many thanks ! :)

Should be on your ILR approval letter.

Process is identical to ILR.

No.

This is where personal opinion matters. My friend was same as you and wrote the very first landing date of his student visa, as that was the time he came to UK with a view of staying. Others here disagree and say put work visa date etc.

On your Tax returns/ask your accountant. Not needed if you are not working or not self employed etc.

If Passport is covering full qualifying period of Naturalisation (current passport not expired) then no need for Employment letters.

Yes.

Absolutely correct.
And that is exactly why I used NCS and my two years old daughter then travelled abroad after the application, got approved while she was abroad with her mother and came back two months later.
Being British is a state of mind.
