Please help to make a decision

Post by tanvirni » Wed Sep 26, 2007 9:20 pm

Dear Immigration Guru,

I am in SEGS and working in a school earning £21000. My visa is expiring on 11th October 2007. My employer desperately need me and trying to get a work permit with their best effort. But, work permit people disappoint us twice. The last application is under review. Please help me what should I do now. Switch back to student visa and then back again to work permit when they get the work permit for me.

Thanks

What kind of job is it?
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

For you to get a work permit, your employer would have to show that they can't find a suitable EU national to do the job, not that they would rather have you do it, I'm afraid.
