Tier 2 short term staff partner work

Hi,

I have recently moved to uk under Tier 2 short term staff visa. My wife also joined me under short term staff partner visa for one year. She got a contract job offer as well. I would like to know whether my wife has to leave the UK when I am going back to my home country i.e. before end of one year visa validity period. Also, can she still work in UK while I am gone to my home country.

Please advise! Thanks in advance.

her visa would end on the same date when yours end. Hence she would have to leave when u leave at the end of your leave.
she can work while you are away

Thank you for your response! Just to clarify, my visa is going to expire in Dec,15 and so is my wife's. If I go back to my home country in August, my wife can still continue to work till Dec'15. Is my understanding correct?
