Tier 2 ICT to tier 2 general

Hello,
I want to leave my current company and have offer from UK new other company but problem with tier 2 general visa for English test and test date not available till july as per IELTS site.
Can i do one thing please suggest

i will apply first tier 2 ICT(Multi Entry)and after reach at uk , i will take test IELTS as per date available in UK. Then is it possible to apply tier 2 general after pass test from UK or India?

Please suggest on it
