Overstayer with Emergency Certificate - Leaving UK

Post by TeaLady » Fri Sep 28, 2007 1:34 pm

Hi there

My passport and visa has expired. (Visa 5 years, Passport 3 years).

I was granted an EC from my embassy a few days ago. I am due to leave as my father is ill with cancer. Would I encounter any problems at the immigration at Heathrow? Would it help that I show the email from my family informing me of the bad news? I am leaving the UK voluntarily.

I would appreciate any advice/input.

Thank you very much.

I'm sorry to hear about your Fathers illness, but now to your problem's.

We need a lot more information ie what type of visa did you have and when did it expire? and what nationality are you?

Lastly do you intend to return to the UK?
