For some people it takes only 3 weeks, for others up to a year. Sorry it's taking so long for you

I have applied for my naturalization back in Jan 2015 this year. I have only had an acknowledge letter confirming the receiot of the fees taken on the 18th of Jan.

Still awaiting decesion not sure how long does it take to get approval letter for the ceremony.? Does anyone know how long does it take ?

I wouldn't worry. I applied on the 19th and my fees were only taken today and someone else was the same this morning.

They received my application on 26th too and no payment taken either ... its taking them a long time. Makes you paranoid if they actually even opened your application

I would guess that if your fees haven't been deducted then they haven't opened your application.

Thank you for replies. Mine also reached very early Thursday morning of the last week. Hopefully they wont try and charge us with the new fee, heard it happened before

Fee will be charged as per date they received the form, so if yours received on Thursday then fee will not be the new one.

I applied at Maidstone NCS and when I was there she told me that sometimes your invitation comes before your approval letter.
And thats what happened to me!

"We would like to congratulate you that your application for British Citizenship has been approved" and then they stated my ceremony date.

So random that each persons application is different, they should keep them all the same and do them in a logical order! But anyway!
I couldnt update the spreadsheet, the link wouldnt work for me = sorry!
