Tier 2 extension-When to apply for allocation?

Hi All,

My TIer 2 general visa is expiring on 30th of March 2016. Was wondering if someone could please answer my queries below.

1.) When is the earliest that I can apply?
2.) Do I require unrestricted COS if I am extending my Tier 2 Visa?
3.) When does my employer need to apply for COS if I am applying in January 2016?
4.) My SOC code is 2312 (FE lecturer). I believe that my salary should be at least £32, 421 and working hours 37 hours/week?

any time but keep in mind that the new visa will be valid from the date UKVI grant it
2.) Do I require unrestricted COS if I am extending my Tier 2 Visa?
yes
3.) When does my employer need to apply for COS if I am applying in January 2016?
the sponsor needs an unrestricted CoS allocation for 2015/16 and they can apply for it any time from now
4.) My SOC code is 2312 (FE lecturer). I believe that my salary should be at least £32, 421 and working hours 37 hours/week?
min salary correct for senior lecturer / advanced teacher for hours as defined for a full time teacher
