Soc Salary Calculations URGENT!

Post by PrinceFav » Wed Apr 08, 2015 10:14 am

Hello All,

I am about to get my COS and my employer is unsure about the hourly calculations with respect to my salary and the SOC CODES.

1. My SOC code is 2423 which is £30000 (experienced) and my salary is £27200 as advertised in RLMT. I understand that the calculation is as follows 35/39 x 30000 = £26923. Is this correct and does is pass the salary requirement?

2. If the above is correct can anyone point me to the official link where I can show my HR. HR wants to use 40 hours but I said we can reduce it to 35 hours but my HR needs an offical document confirming the calculation above. Kindly help ASAP Manci and Co...

Thanks

this calculation is correct, and your salary is sufficient, provided you work 35 hours a week which has to be confirmed by the sponsor in the CoS

What the sponsor puts in the CoS as regards your weekly working hours must be the same as stated in your employment contract, it cannot be adjusted up or down at will.
