TRANFER PR ONTO BRP - NTL??

I currenctly hold a Permanent Resident Card via form EEA4. I was thinking of applying for BRP-NTL sometime soon. The application form says "Someone Who Already Has Indefinite LeaveTo Enter Or Remain In The UK". Am i right in thinking the PR card is equivalent to Indefinite LeaveTo Enter Or Remain In The UK and I should be able to use the NTL form to get BRP?

Just curious, why do you want to do that? Is there an advantage in having a BRP that you can't get with an EEA4?

Unless your passport expired and you'd rather have a brp with ur new passport ?

Thanks for reply. There is no clear advantage, I have my reasons. Are you able to advise if the PR card is equivalent to ILR for the purpose of this application. Thanks

The question was, is the PR card equivalent to ILR for the purpose of this application? If I needed financial advise I would have asked that question. So unless you are able to answer the simple question, don't comment. I would actually pay the £606 via premium service just because I like to waste money without reason.

If it is a biometric card that you want and presumably you are a non-EEA national you might be able to get one through re-applying for a new PR card through form EEA(PR) as the Home Office now require non-EEA nationals to have biometric cards. It's much cheaper too.

BRP-NTL seems to be only for people with ILR obtained under domestic rules. It says on the form that EEA residence permit holders should not use the form.

Many thanks. I did take note of the wording " EEA residence permit holders should not use form " but seems rather unclear as PR card is post Resident Card. Anyway, thanks for your advice.

A PR card is an EEA residence permit.
