Not at all, once you get your citizen ship certificate your are naturalised, you may not require your British passport for the rest of your life. I am sure every Brit not a British passport holder, it is required only if you want to travel on it. You can continue using your exciting passport for your travel.suregena wrote:Random question. I'm not in the position to get one for a while. We literally scraped the barrel to just get citizenship sorted and paid for, so getting my British passport currently isn't a high priority.
Not doing so won't void my naturalisation when I get it, will it?![]()

But you must keep your certificate with you when coming back to UK since after your naturalisation your biometric card may seize to function as I read it in some thread.
Best of luck

Yes. Me.20March2015 wrote:Anyone here who applied on 19th/20th March or application received by HO on 23rd/24th March? Just interested to compare the timeline!
One can only hope there was a magic mistake in the timeline but just goes to show how trolls affect this site and causes other to have palpitations about their own applications with constant panicking about why their applications are not here yet.imraniqbal2010 wrote:tulip11 wrote:There is an applicant by name Fareha she posted her timeline in naturalisation timeline thread , she got her approval within few days , application received by them 3rd April , approval 13 April and received approval letter today on 17th April . Tulip 3rd of April was Bank Holiday. Neither postal staff nor HO staff work on bank holiday.
