NHS Surcharge for my son

Post by jk264 » Mon Apr 20, 2015 8:17 pm

Hi
I am in UK on Tier 2 general visa and am planning to apply Tier 2 dependent visa for my wife and kid soon. I got the clarity that i have to pay 200 GBP per year as surcharge for my wife :( .

Does it apply to my kid as well?

I have read in some forums, the below one is in the the exempted list. does it apply to all the children?

Children under 18 years taken into care or in the care of a local authority

link to that site.

No. It only applies to children under 18 who have been taken into care or in the care of a local authority
Exactly as you've posted. Your child won't qualify for exemption and will be subject to the surcharge of £200 per year
